Apple crumble cake is a 7-inch round cake with a golden oaty topping. It is a soft buttery cake with a layer of sliced apple over the batter and crumble on top. The crumble is a combination of rolled oats, almond flakes, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, salt and flour. We mainly use Pink Lady apples for baking our cakes as they hold up exceptionally well in the oven. This cake tastes sweet and delicious and feels like having oatmeal biscuits.
